W7 The Bronzer

W7 Bronzer

Don't be too afraid by how dark this bronzer looks. At first glance, it scared me how much I might look like I'd been tangoed, and I wasn't keen on giving this a try. Hoowwwever, in the contouring age that we've more recently started embracing, W7's The Bronzer* is a potential if you're on a budget.
The plastic black packaging is nothing to write home about, but you can't expect to have it all at only £4.95! One of the big plusses for me with this bronzer is that it's matte *does a little dance*. My skin is a little oil-prone, so I'm usually a bit wary of shimmery bronzers in case they accentuate this. No-one wants a face that looks like it could fry an egg. Cracking party trick though.
W7 Bronzer

In terms of the application, I didn't find it as easily blendable as I'd have liked; it's the type of powder that when you put your brush to your face, that's where it'll settle unless you put some effort into it, so I felt like I had to put extra care into applying it where I wanted it. As such, I personally won't be using this all over my face as it's a bit too dark for my skin tone; instead, I've adopted it as a contouring powder to accentuate my cheekbones and subtly sculpt my face. I must admit I've not really been much of a 'contourer' in the past but I'm keen to practice as I'm learning more and more how effective it can be!

Overall, this highly pigmented powder will quite possibly be a hit for some and miss for others, purely because of its deep shade. For me, as mentioned, I've found the silver lining and plan on countouring with it.

What do you think of this bronzer? Have you tried it or any other W7 products?

  1. I am definitely not a fan of the tacky packaging but the matte shade looks great for the summer when I have a tan and of course you can't beat the price x

    1. Yup, exactly. The packaging isn't great, but I can usually justify the compromise at such a low price like you say :)

  2. I have to say contouring is a medium I have yet to try. I recently bought their mascara and liked it alot. Sadly, it was not waterproof enough to watch an emotional movie in :)

    1. Ah no really...I must admit I don't like waterproof mascaras as I find them too difficult to remove :) I'm also very new to contouring but am enjoying a little practice every now and again!

  4. Oh it looks impressive considering how cheap it is, although I'm not a massive fan of the packaging as it's a little bit gaudy for my liking xx

    1. Yeah I agree, it's not the prettiest. Something about the black...it'd look much better matte at least!

  6. Never tried w7 products but their nail polish looks quite good. I'm glad you've found a use for the product - my go-to contour shade is by Sleek, their face form palette is amazing! <3

    1. Yeah I tried one of their nail art sets before (you can read it here if you like) and was amazed at the result for such a budget brand! I'll have to check the Sleek palette out; it sounds great!
